Chlorella – A SUPERFOOD that fights diseases

2010-10

Chlorella is a green algae that is effective in fighting major lifestyle diseases. It has been shown to reduce body-fat percentage and blood-glucose levels and help those suffering from Type 2 diabetes, obesity or heart disease. Its benefits include boosting energy, aiding digestion and fighting depression.

Natural Food with abundant nutrients

Chlorella has proven to be almost a dream food. It is packed with protein – twice as much as spinach – and about 38 times the quantity of soybeans, and 55 times that of rice. It also contains 18 amino acids, as well as vitamins and minerals.

CVE™ (Chlorella Vulgaris Extract)
CVE™ is a unique Chlorella growth factor which strengthens anti-viral and anti-tumor function of the immune system. It also aids in regulating body fat and blood glucose levels, preventing a list of lifestyle diseases including cardiovascular diseases, cancers and diabetes. Research shows CVE™ sedates body’s abnormal reaction to food, alleviating and improving allergy diseases.

Chlorophyll and Dietary-fibre
Chlorophyll is a natural cleanser to remove toxins accumulated in our body, e.g. dioxins, heavy metals, mercury and PCBs. In addition, dietary-fibre stimulates bowel movement and restores regularity in patients with chronic constipation.

Carotenoids
Chlorella contains carotenoids which can neutralize free radicals in our body and slow down the aging process. Free radicals damage cells in an organism, causing aging and diseases (eg. cancer, eye, brain and mental disorder).
Nucleic acid (RNA/DNA)
Chlorella contains high level of nucleic acids, which is an important component for cell regeneration and repair.

Amino Acids
Chlorella contains 18 kinds of amino acids, including 8 essential amino acids. They are indispensible for building proteins and collagen, contributing to restructure and smoothe out our skin surface, bringing back the youthful glow of the skin.

Moreover, Chlorella is highly alkalizing, helping to restore a healthy pH of body fluids. Chlorella also contains 16 vitamins and 14 minerals, provide us sufficient macro & micro nutrients for metabolism!

Chlorella and Spirulina: Which is a better choice?

Chlorella Spirulina
Chlorella contains abundant Chlorophyll, offers a greater detoxifying power. Chlorophyll can also be found in Spirulina, but the content is 5 times less than Chlorella.
Chlorella is a true plant with a cell nucleus, making it exactly like the fruits and vegetables we eat. Spirulina is just classified as a photosynthesized bacterium.
Chlorella has a superior amino acid profile and bioavailability, making it a better protein source that can be absorbed easily by human body. The bioavailability of protein found in Spirulina is comparatively lower than Chlorella.
Chlorella is a good source of Vit B-12, a vitamin that is often found to be deficient in vegetarians. Yet the B-12 in Chlorella has been proven to be absorbed and utilized by human body. Spirulina is also a good source of Vit B-12, but the Vit-B12 in Spirulina is not bioavailable for human body.
Chlorella is a good source of Lutein, which has been documented to support visual health. Lutein could not be found in Spirulina.
