Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG) can show whether your body is having overtraining syndrome. This hormone will bind steroid hormone for transport in the blood stream. When SHBG increase and decrease sex steroid levels this can show overtraining syndrome.

Yes. You can take the test if you are taking hormones. You can take hormones normally and do the test do not stop taking hormones.

Hormone Type Sample Collection Guidelines:

  • Pills, Gels, Creams, Sprays (oral, topical*, vaginal): 12-24 hours AFTER last dose - do not apply to face or nect

  • Sublinguals and Troches (dissolve under tongue): 36 hours after last dosage

  • Patches: 1-2 days after applying patch

  • Injections/Pellets: Midpoint between injection/pellet inserts

2. Can I do the test if I am not feeling well?

No, you need to wait until you get well.
